Baby Warren Roy STEFFEY was born 7th of September at the Christ's Hospital, son of Mr. and Mrs. and the Late Lt. Warren H. STEFFEY.
Mrs. Etta BROCK, Irene BROCK and Mary Jean ROGERS were here from Emporia from Saturday till Sunday evening. Mary Jean is helping the registrar's office at State Teaching college, where she is also enrolled as a freshman, specializing in mathematics and working toward a degree of B. S. in Education.
Elizabeth PERRY employed in Kansas City spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.D. PERRY.
Mrs.Sam BOWEN who has been with a daughter at severance is here visiting for a number of weeks with members of her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie LeGER, Colieen and Keith attended a reuniion of the LeGER families at the hme of Mrs. Ben HURD, Grantville, last Sunday. 52 were present.
Mrs. Stella WILLIAMS, the former Australia HUFF and resident of Jefferson county, now of Pasadena, Calif., visited with her sisters, Mrs. Susie JOHNSON, Ozawkie and Mrs. Alma SIMS of Bonner Springs, for several days last week.
Students from Jefferson county enrolled at Kansas City University for the Fall semester are, Theresa Verleen JEFFERY, Joyce Ilene McCOY, Donna Jean MORRIS, Ruth Ellen PAYNE, Oskaloosa; Murial Kathleen STEMBER, Ozawkie; Nancy Jane GROFF, Betty Louis LIGHTON, Morton MIGNON, Nortonville; Bryce Euane STALLARD, Mary Frances STARK, Perry; LaVerne ERHART, Mary Jayne NEWMAN, Sarah Louise MARKS, Valley Falls; George DICK, McLouth.
