Ronald REED of Topeka is visiting here grandmother, mrs. Thos. HANEY and Mr. HANEY.
Mrs. Ida STEFFEY spent last weekend in Lawrence with her daughter, Mrs. Fredia BARKER.
Sgt. Alfred E. KING left last Friday evening for Hot Springs, Arkansas after a 21-day furlough with his relatives and friends. Sgt. KING had recently returned from overseas duty.
Mr. and Mrs. Guy BRAMMELL received the announcement of a new granddaughter, Carolyn Marie born to Mr. and Mrs. Leland ACHILLES on Oct. 1st. Mrs. ACHILLES will be remembered at Miss Julia BRAMMELL.
Mr. and Mrs. Robt. METZGER spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Roy METZGER in Topeka.
Miss Ellen METZGER returned to her work here after spending the past four weeks at the hme of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. METZGER near Oskaloosa.
Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. PARKER Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. I.S. OWENS, Mrs. Irene UNDERWOOD and Mr. and Mrs. Don PARKER, Gary Don and Billy Joe of Oskaloosa; Mrs. Lou HEWEY of Edmond, Okla., Mrs. Edna FISHER, Mr. and Mrs. Dale PARKER and Janice.
