A.J. PACKER was born in Floyd county, Ky., March 17, 1823, August 17, 1847, he was married to Elizabeth STAFFORD and two children were born to them, one of whom, Mrs. Julia E. JONES of White Oak, Ky., is still living. Mrs. PARKER having died Sept. 20, 1851. He was again married April 3, 1854 to Mary A. GARDNER and to them seven children were born, six of whom survive him. He united with the Christian church in Morgan county, Ky., Oct. 5, 1855, and served as elder for 25 years. He became ill while visiting his daughter in Kansas City and was brought home and died at the home of his son, John PARKER Thursday, July 16th. After funeral services in the Christian church Saturday forenoon conducted by Rev. I.A. WILSON of Valley Falls, burial was made int he cemetery near the R.P. church. (Denison)
