Ozawkie Items by R.and C.
The newly organized Ozawkie Community club held its second regular meeting Wednesday evening, December 10, with the president Mrs. Thos. LAIRD, presiding.
The girl reserves formed a chorus and led the audiencce in the singing of Christmas carols, after which C.E. COOK of Topeka, representing the International Harvester Co., presented the following three reels of very educational moving pictures: "Singing Wheels", "The Strong shall be free"; "Resourceful Kansas"; and a short comedy, "New Animals."
Mr. and Mrs. Robert METZGER had as their guests for dinner Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Tom SAYLES and family of Valley Falls.
Ozawkie is happy to announce that the new bridges have been completed and that our new road was officially opened to the traffic on Monday of this week. We are justly proud of this big improvement to our community and feel grateful, not only for the structures but for the new friendships with the engineers, contractors and those connected with the erection of the bridges.
