Winchester Items by Mrs. R.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl EVERETT have retuned from Calif., where they visited their son Gene. He arrived home a few days later for a short stay here before enlisting in the army.
Mr. OSGOOD a teacher in the grade school was called home by the serious illness of his father. Mr. John ALEXANDER, a retired mail carrier and a former Jefferson county teacher is teaching Mr. Osgoods room.
Wendell THORNBURG was home over the week end from Ft. Leavenworth. He was to leave Leavenworth Monday for Maryland. Estel Thornburg, who enlisted at the same time as Wendell is in Utah.
Ralph and Albert DILL have been transferred from Ft. Leavenworth to Shepperd's Field, Wichita Falls, Texas.
Word comes of the arrival of a baby girl at the home of Coach and Mrs. CREAGER. Mr. and Mrs. CREAGER both taught in our high school last year.
