Williamstown Items by Mrs. Allen.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold SKEET entertained the following guests at their home Thanksgiving Day; their daughter, Mrs. Berylene SMITH, Mrs. Anna SKEET, and Mrs. mary Lou SHOFFNER and little son, Larry of Lawrence; Mrs. A.A. ALLEN, mr. and Mrs. W.H. ALLEN and children, Billie, David and Gracie of Williamstown.

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil GREEN entertained the members of their family at their home Thanksgiving day. The following were present: Mr. and Mrs. Lyle GREEN and sons, Jimmie and Denzil of Topeka, Garland GREEN and son Verlin, Mr. and Mrs. Carl EVANS and daughters Deloris and Leta Kay.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles STEINMETZ and family have moved from the Edith DUNCAN farm to the place recently vacated by Speck DUNN and family.

Mrs. Jennie GIBSON and pupils of Dean school gave a Thanksgiving program and plate social Wednesday evening Nov. 22. A large crowd attended. Mr. Virgil GREEN won the lovely cake in the cake-walk. Violet Ann MOUGOLD was the popular young lady who won the box of chocolates and Mr. GIBSON won the jar of candy for the nearest guess to the number of pieces of candy contained in the jar. Jack DICK and daughter Geraldine furnished the music. The entire proceeds amounted to $17.00.

Billy ALLEN returned to his work in Lawrence on Monday.
