Elmer Clinton Edgar.
Rev. Elmer Clinton EDGAR was born in Fayette, County, Iowa, on March 29, 1880.
On July 13, 1915, he was united in marriage with Mary V. ANDREWS at Fremont, Nebr. To this union three children were born: Mary Leone, who lived but three days, Elvan and Gerald. Mr. Edgar was licensed as a minister of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ in 1913. he served at several churches including McLouth and Edmonds. During his ministry at McLouth the church raised funds for a new parsonage. After 39 years in active ministry, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar became host and hostess at Camp Webster.
Memorial services were held in the Salina church on August 11, in charge of Pastor Walter Brant and Superintendents Findley, Ford and Smith.
The casket-piece consisted of Bro. Edgar's open Bible and serveral red roses. A memorial fund was established to apply on the new Salina church.
