Leon Cover.
Leon COVER, age 82, of Ozawkie, died Monday, Feb. 6 at a nursing home near Oskaloosa.
He was born May 13, 1878 at Grundy Center, Iowa. In 1905 he was united in marriage to Nellie McCOY, and to this union was born one son, Earl.
He lived for a brief while in Arizona and then for 15 years at Pasadena, Calif.; but much of his adult life was spent in farming in the Thompsonville community south of Ozawkie.
Mr. Cover was a member of the Perry Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Cover of the home; a son, Earl Cover of Pickstown, S. Dak.; and a brother, John Cover of Modesto, Calif.
Services were conducted form the Perry Methodist Church Saturday, Feb. 11 with Rev. Walter E. SIMPSON officiating. Interment was in the Newman Cemetery.
