Word was received here the first of the week of the death of Mrs. W.T. PENCE, who died at the home of her son, Clyde Pence, at Chicago, where she had made her home since the death of her husband ten years ago, the late Elder W.T. Pence. She was a charter member of the Muddy Creek Baptist church which was organized by Elder Pence in 1871. Her funeral was preached in the Bethel church near her old home on Soldier Creek and she was laid to rest in the Prairie Home cemetery.
