Serious Accident.
John Pranke and His Son Gus In a Serious Runaway.
In a runaway in Leavenworth, Saturday evening, John PRANKE, aged 71 years and his son, Gus, aged 41, both well known in this vicinity, were thrown from their rig. The team started to run at 7th and Cherokee streets, running South on 7th street they struck a team coming North. The collision did not check their speed and they kept on, turning West to Broadway and at the corner of Lawrence and Pennsylvania avenues in making a short turn the vehicle overturned throwing both the occupants to the pavement. Both men were rendered unconscious by the fall and were taken to the Leavenworth hospital. The elder man soon returned to consciousness but his did not recover for some time.
