Valley Grove.
Mrs. A.J. ANDERSON is on the sick list.

Little Jessie PATTERSON has been quite ill the past few days.

J.C. CLARE and family visited at Daniel SMITH's Thursday evening.

The heavy rains Monday night a week ago washed out the floor of the red bridge north of J.C. CLARE's. The bridge was raised fifteen inches, the floor replaced and is now all right again.

Mrs. Daniel SMITH, Misses Carrie CLARE, Dollie SMITH, Birdie ADAMS, Bertha GIBBS, and Greata MILLS visited Thursday at Frank CHAMPION's.

Miss Eleanor SLAWSON will teach the Valley Grove school this year. School begins the first Monday in September.

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel SMITH and Ward KELLER were Lawrence visitors Wednesday.

Mrs. Luella and Chester SMITH were Lawrence visitors, Wednesday.
