"Mr. & Mrs. Albert LEHMAN drove to Webber Wednesday to visit at the home of
Mrs. LEHMAN's uncle, Grant LEWIS.
C. E. SWEET has been quite sick at his home in Mankato.
The Ladies Aid Society of the Union Church met with Mrs. DILLON Thursday.
Blanche CRUMERINE left Thursday for Concordia where she will take a three
months course in bookkeeping.
Alice BALLARD is working for James FARNHAM's near town.
Ruth WINTER is staying with her sister, Mrs. Chas. BRUNNEMER.
Mrs. WEBSTER is visiting at the Wm. HODGIN home.
Mrs. Emma SHEDDN is working for Rec Dick's.
Rev. ROBB from Courtland spent Sunday evening at Fred WORLEY's.
W. C. POSTLETHWAITE was over from Jewell Friday and Saturday on business.
Nina MCMULLEN spent Saturday evening with Amy CLARKE in the country.
Meribah KIRPATRICK and Edith JACOBSON drove to Mankato Thursday to make
preparation for attending institute.
Ellen VADER spent Monday visiting Ethel LAECH.
Harry HAYMANs are now domiciled in their new home recently purchased of
Robert PANTIER.
Isis BREWER spent Saturday evening with Mabel MCMULLEN.
Charlie STEWART has taken possession of the Cunningham meat market succession
to Thos. CULLEN
Mrs. TURNBY has been staying with Mrs. Deuitt PLATZ's the past week.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Rex DICK a son June. [that's all it said]
Chas. STEWART purchased a beef of O. J. EWER Monday.
Lucy BRUNNEMER is visiting at Robert TAYLORS this week.
Irene ELLSWORTH spent a few days last week visiting Vada HASKETT of Courtland.
Dan MCCARTHY has returned form his school work at Lincoln Nebr. and will work
in the hardware store here this week.[anyone having info about these
McCarthy's please contact me off list]
Mrs. John PHILLIPPI came in Tuesday evening from Marysville Kansas where she
has been visiting her parents. She reports everything under water.
Alice WINTER writes from Salina Kansas that they are having plenty of wet
weather. Crops being practically destroyed by high water and the farmers
unable to work in their fields."
