Hi, I went to Independence,Douglas Co.,Kansas to there library, upstairs you go through the kids part of the library and there is a room where they have all the records they don't help you much but its easy they have big books with the dates on the book if you know when they got married or at least the year, we found ours the only thing you have to go down two floors to copy it , and they are heavey so take a strong person or something you can roll the book on..they do have a elevator. My Relatives that I found there married were living in the Valeta, Labette Co. Area I also found my grandmother who married in the Coffeyville, Kansas area in the same books. I went to Edna, Labette Co. Ks last year and found all my relatives buried in the cemetery there... That town was booming back in the around and about the 1870's and up ... Now it is kinda dead but some of the buildings are still there..They also had people that went to Oswego, Labette co. Ks that got married I also went!
there to there library were they have alot of cemetery books.. the court house has records too.. they are very helpful in the land record dept. I got lots of information there....Hope I helped.
