Funeral services for Mrs. Francis A. Curtis, 79, pioneer resident of this county who died last night will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Balley church, northwest of Parsons. The Rev. J. Allan Watson, pastor of the Central Avenue Christian church, here, will be in charge. Burial will be in the Valley cemetery. Mrs. Curtis was a member of the Christian church.
Mrs. Francis A. Curtis, 79, wife of C. S. Curtis, died at 8:30 o'clock last nigh at her home four and a half miles west and three miles north of Parsons. Mrs. Curtis was a pioneer resident of this county, having lived in this vicinity for the past 35 years.
She was born in (Scott county) Illinois, Feb. 23, 1846.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lottie Orme, Mrs. Lois Hart, Mrs. Ella Dixon, all of Parsons. Miss Ida Curtis at home, four sons, Orval Curtis, Warrensburg, Mo., Oscar Curtis, Frank Curtis and Ira Curtis all in the vicinity of Parsons, and one sister Mrs. Harvey Martin, this city.
