Thank you so much for checking Montgomery Co. for me. Is there a newspaper or obituary index for the week or two after 8 May 1872? James Vance died 4 miles east of Cherryvale on that day, which would have put him about 2½ miles into Osage Twp., Labette Co. He's buried in the Harmony Grove Cemetery near Dennis.

Does anyone know if the marriages and deaths for Dorn Co. have been published? I know the name was changed to Neosho in 1861 and then parts of it were cut away for Labette Co. I noticed that the Neosho Marriages Records publication starts with 1864. Have the ones from 1855 to 1863 been published?
