This email is intended for <> and for anyone else who might
have
the same sort of question.
A little more than a week ago, I wrote to the following address, rec'd an
answer
along with a form to fill out so that I could receive a copy of a death
cert for a
relative, who died in ~ 1921. Cost of death cert is $13. I filled out the
form and
sent it a day or so ago and now am awaiting a reply. My point is, that, so
far the
response time has been very gratifying.
Here is the mailing address:
City of Parsons
PO Box1037
112 S. 17th St
Parsons, KA
67357-1037
Initially, to find out the address, I called long distance and got the correct
place and clerk and she gave me the address.

<When I was in Parsons last fall one of the Oakwood groundskeepers sent me to
the water department at city hall to find out the exact locations of the
graves I was trying to find. They have a complete list and were very
helpful. >

I'm looking for descendants of either Isaac or Elmer Smith. I was told
they both died in or around Parsons. Isaac was born in 1868 in
Pennsylvania and I think died in 1960. Elmer was born in 1874 in
Pennsylvania and died around 1950. Their father was Jerome Smith from
Russell Kansas. They are my great grandmother's brothers. Any information
would be appreciated.
