Mercy A. COOK, widow, was in Mount Pleasant Township, Labette County, Kansas, in the 1900 census. She is reported to have married in Labette County to John Walter Ray COOK on 6 Jul 1876. They were living in Mountain Township, Barry County, Missouri, in the 1880 census.

I would like to learn more about this family. Who were the parents of Walter COOK? When did he die, and where? Did Mercy (sometimes recorded as "Mary") remarry? What happened to the children. I have at least William COOK, b. July 1876 and Eva M. Cook, b. 1888.
