Thank you for your response, we knew of Sophronia's mariage to Doggett, she
died early, and he remarried, the family that Harmon was able to reach were of
the second wife, and he was told the second wife scarcely mentioned
Sophrenia, and had no nothing about Asa and Rachel.
Yes, we have been aware that the family made a return trip to Iowa, perhaps
to assist or get assistance for births, and then returned to Kansas. Mothers
of the age were usually pretty close to their mothers at the appropriate
time.
Thanks for the Hugh and Lewis Myers, that gives us new places to look.
There was a Delbert Myers in the area that we think was a cousin, but it has
not been a satisfying chase for info. They had moved to Grant County, and
the Genealogy people in Medford are in the public library, and not really too
interesting in looking up for us, I have always sent cash on receipt of
information, and promised on asking questions, but it is still an added chore for
the librarians. At one time, there was a genealogist employed there, but
apparently has moved on.
Avenues of information are thin, and we really appreciate any help we can
get. Thanks
