I am searching for any information on the Kettlers of Miami (Block,
Paola, Fontana, nearby) & Crawford (Pittsburg) counties. They arrived
in Kansas ca. 1870. My gggrandmother Rosine Helene Kettler
buried in Block cemetery March 1873. Her husband, Louis Kettler,Sr.
remarried Elise M(ary) Englebert. Don't know where Louis, Sr. & Elise
Kettler lived after their marriage or where they died. They had one
son, Arthur, b. 23 Nov 1876, about whom I know nothing else. Louis,
Sr.'s other children were: William (eldest child), of Pittsburg (b
Wheeling before 1855, died? buried?);
Louis, Jr. b 1855, Wheeling, WVa. , m. Katie Durst, d. 24 May 1940 nr
Fontana;
Henry, b.1860, Wheeling, m Ella Rudell & Mary E. Watson, d. 13 Feb 1933,

Pittsburg;
August (my greatgrandfather) b 1861 Wheeling, m. Geshe A.
Tinkin/Tienkin, d. 13 Oct. 1841, Deerfield, Ks;
Christian of Block, nr Paola, b 1864, Wheeling, m. Martha Bergman, d. 25

Jun 1928;
Louise_________?;
Augusta_________?.

Would appreciate hearing via e-mail from anyone who is related to, or
has further information about these Kettlers.
