Thanks so much for your replies. I found your information to be very
informative. A hopital for the mentally ill.....now that is a surprise.
Where there other hospitals in the area at that time?? I guess it fits the
story that has been handed down. My GGrandfather was supposedly hit by a
train and did not know anything afterwards. Sort of sounded like a head
injury and I guess died from his injuries soon after. I would love to find
an obituary for him and see if the "train story" is myth or truth. I have
found some family stories to be correct but with wrong names attached, etc.
But so far always with more fact than fiction. I just have to sort it out.
<G> I also have no idea what he was doing in that area. They lived over by
Augusta and are buried in Leon area. So another mystery to be solved. Must
have been relatives in the area or something.....businesses, jobs, ???
