Court records for Nemaha County show that at least prior to the
divorce awarded my great grandmother almost 100 years ago, my great
grandfather was not afraid to be seen in public in Seneca with
his.....girlfriend. I'm wondering whether the local newspaper would
have reported this and other things that came out in the course of
the court proceedings. As I'm in New York, and have only been in
Kansas but once in my fifty years, is there anyone reading this who
lives in or not far from Seneca that would be willing to pay a visit
to the Free Library there to see whether there is mention in the
microfilmed local newspaper of the time, the Courier Democrat, of the
trial?

The once-married couple as well as their children are all long gone
from Kansas and this world, but I'll give further details (names,
dates, etc) to anyone kind enough to respond to my request by
contacting me directly via my email address (not on the mailing list)
with an offer to assist me.
