I've "rescued" two old photographs which appear to both be related to the
SHIFFERT Family of Kansas. The first is a postcard photograph of "Grandma
SHIFFERT" which is addressed to Ed SHIFFERT of Oxford, Kansas. I am
guessing that the photograph was taken in the early 1900's and that Grandma
SHIFFERT was in her 60's or 70's at the time it was taken. The second
photograph is identified as Edith GETTS, Jane SHIFFERT, and Harry WIEGNER
who are cousins and all 12 years old at the time the photograph was taken.

This second photograph was taken at the Shiffert's Studio in Salina, KS
likely sometime in the early 1900's as well. Based on limited research I
believe that Harry Irwin WIEGNER was b. 30 May 1884 and served in World War
I. Military records indicate that he was a Merchant and that his nearest
living relative at the time of enlistment was Elizabeth Lee WIEGNER. I was
also able to locate the families in census records as follows:

I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that these wonderful old
photographs can be returned to the care of this family. If you are a member
