HOWE CEMETERY—located on a farm adjoining Mary Ann and Sterling Evans farm on the Burris Road. The Howe family purchased their farm from the Thomas family in the mid 1800’s. This farm adjoined the land of Ulrich Huffstutter and today the Evans farm contains the original Huffstutter farm. Mary Ann Evans is a descendant of Ulrich Huffstutter. NOTES ON THE HOWE FAMILY: Dunlap Howe, born Jan 1801 Fleming Co., and died June 30, 1852. Married Antha (or Anna) Hall, born 1799, Bourbon Co. and died Aug 15,1875.
There are numerous small fieldstone markers for graves. These are rough hewn and about twelve inches above the ground with no lettering. The area is heavily overgrown with lots of thorny bushes! Those stones that were decipherable:

D.H. (a white marble slab approximately 6 inches wide and 18 inches tall)

A broken stone with the top half missing and the bottom portion fallen down and partly buried: died 12 yrs 7 mos 3 days
