Do you by any chance have a Carol Noel Lawson Cole listed. He is my bio-grandfather. He was adopted in 1925 out of Osage Co. OK by Jon Wesly Cole and Elizabeth Bowman. I am not sure if Elizabeth was his real mother or not. At first I thought perhaps she was but now I am starting to wonder. I was told by my bio-mother that Carol had at least 2 full siblings that she knew of and 3 half siblings. Now I am wondering if he was possibly orphaned or taken away from his parents and put up for adoption. Carol was 1/2 Cherokee and 1/2 Caucasion and would have been about 10yrs of age in 1925 because he married Nellie Farmer (Cole)in 1932. Carol died in 1948 in a freak accident. I am thinking that perhaps Lawson was his given name but I am not sure. I cannot find any information (even soc. index) on him and his adopt. records are sealed. The Farmer side of the family is all listed.
The family moved from OK to AR and then to MO.
