: The domestic felicity which is reported to have prevailed for some time
: in the household of Joseph Bowling culminated on Tuesday of last week in
: Mrs. Bowlings artisitic carving of a woman name Emily Gollihue with a
: knife. Mrs. Bowling charged the Gollihue woman with aiding and abetting
: Mr. B. in committing numerous violations of his marriage vows.

: William A. Moore was arrested and taken before U.S. Commissioner BOWLING
: at Grayson, charged with taking illegal fees for procuring back pay,
: pensions, etc.

: Carter Co., (Grayson) - On last Wednesday evening, on Joseph Bowling,
: being intoxicated, came into Mat Boldman's shop with his knife in his
: hand, making every demonstration that might mean fight and, upon
: Boldman's telling him to behave himself, Bowling threw an ax at him with
: all might. J.J. Kennedy was in the sop at that time and just escaped the
: point of Bowling's knife by jumping a grindstone and running up the
: street. sometime later, after Boldiman and kennedy had returned to the
: shop, Bowling returned and started into the shop. Boldman told his not
: to come in, but he still advanced toward them, when he was shot by
: Kennedy, three balls taking effect. Bowling lived about an hour. An
: exmining trail will be held Saturday.

: Carter Co., - At Grayson Joe Bowling got drunk and began a quarrel with
: James Kennedy and made at him with a knife. Kennedy shot and killed him.
: It is said Kennedy acted in self defense. Several years ago Bowling
: had killed Millard Kennedy whil on a drunken spree.
