I can't remember who was researching the Loveless name, and wasn't sure this
information made it through the list. If you don't have this information, I
hope it belongs to your Loveless family, and can help in locating them in the
1800's

Smyrna Cumberland Presbyterian Church - Allen Co KY
Died June 21st 1880 sister NANCY LOVLESS Aged 70 yrs and 12 days.
Sister Lovless profest Religion & joined the CP Church at Smyrna in it
Organisation which took place in her own house on the 29 of March 1840 in
which she lived a consistent member until August 15th 1845 when she applied
for & Received a letter of Dismission & Recommendation By order of session
after a sojourn in Bedford Co Tenn for 20 years, she returned to and united
by leter with the Church at Smyrna a second time in which she lived a zealous
member untill Death, her life was one of toil, but while she toiled she never
forgot to go to him in Prair whos hand is ever open to supply the wants of
his People. Sister Lovless always delited in going Church & showing a desire
to promote the Cause she loved & the home of him who she loved. but she now
Rest from her labours and her works do follow her. CW Witt
*a note recorded in another part of the book: "According to the Witt
writings on the death of Nancy Loveless, wife of Benjamin C. Loveless in 1880
(2nd part of this book) the very important meeting on Mar 29, 1840 when the
Smyrna church was organized, the meeting was in the home of Nancy & Benj. C.
Loveless"*
