Hi there,
I'm not sure. Let me tell you what I know or think I know.
My Gr Grandfather was Ephriam WOODARD b. 05 November 1872 in Bath Co., KY
He married Mary E. HORNBECK in KY. They had 4 sons and 3 daughters. My
Grandfather was one of them. He was Carroll Burbage Woodard b. 24 January
1902.
His obit is where I got the information about the number of children in the
family. It said he had a surviving sister when he died in 1981 by the name
Of Eliza who married a Mr. Jim OSGOOD of Kansas. My dad also remembers an
Aunt Velma and one called Aunt Lizzie but right now Im assuming Eliza was
her.
According to my Aunt--my Dad's sister-Mary Hornbeck Woodard died in KY and
Ephriam took the children to MO to be near some family there. Not too long
after that he died in MO--when Grandpa was 13, and the children were
orphaned in MO.
My grandfather Carroll Woodard returned to KY when he was 16. The other
children were sent around to different family members she THINKS. She thinks
Velma ended up in IN and Lizzie in KS which fits with Eliza being married in
Kansas. I was told by someone they thought some of the other children also
went back to KY but I don't know.
I haven't really gotten alot of information on this family. I have the
Woodard line in KY on a few census and Ive seen a few names in marriage
indexes. Right now I am open for ANY ideas on how to find them.

1880 Bath Co., KY Census: William S. Woodard born in KY age 33 and wife
Eliza, age 26. In 1880 they had listed as children: George (age 12), Charles
(age 9), Ephriam (age 7), Silas (age4), William (age 2) and John (age 4
months). They were also on the 1870 census listed as neighbors to his father
William B. Woodard.
