According to some Trumbo researchers who now believe they have very good
documented proof, Margaret "Kate" Harness was the daughter of Michael
Harness, Sr. and Maria Elisabetha Dieffenbach, not Elizabeth Westfall.
Elizabeth Westfall was married to Michael Harness, Jr., the one who was
scalped.

I only learned about this a short time ago, but it appears to be
correct. The dates for Elizabeth Westfall can not match with Michael
Harness, Sr.
