RE: Vivian's post:
Where is the LOWER Salt Lick cemetery? I know where the UPPER Salt Lick
Church and Cemetery are. I visited there in October, 1998, as a matter
of fact. I do not know where LOWER Salt Lick Cemetery is located. Is
it North of USL?

Marilyn & All,
Gee I knew I would open something I would have to eat alone. I have drove
all over the area of Bath County but it is hard to know where you are because
there are not that many street signs.
Now, I do know we had to stop and open a gate and drive back a farm lane to
the side of a hill. I could just imagine that this started out as a family
cemetery and probably soneone said "Well, we can use that piece of land
because it is hillside and too hard to plow".
The grave markers mear witness to this as well. They were no doubt placed
there when there were very few little saplings and over the years those
little things have grown to the size to push the markers from their resting
place and some were sent over the hill.
As you face the Cemetery and the gate is to your back....there is a quarry?
at the left. I believe I do remember a house to the left as well. Now you
tell me where I was? LOL

I Know I had to be given directions to the cemetery because I don't think it
is that visible from the road. I believe it is Route 36? Is that the one that
goes thru Mud Lick? Perhalps it is near Mud Lick Road? Aren't you glad you
ask? With the directions I gave , anyone can find it now. :-) I can see
everyone running for LSL Cemetery now. By the way.....while you are there
please put those stones back in their place and exterminate those "Big Old
Nasty Rattle Snakes" That are slithering around those markers.
Vivian
PS: Anyone who has been to LSL Please bail me out of this hole I have dug
for myself. ( Jim Sorrell where are you when I need you?)
