Hi Vivian,

Enjoy hearing from you. To answer your question about the Rogers.

Yes I am related to the Rogers you mentioned. Isaac Harrison Rogers was my
gt. grandfather and he was married to Ann Liza Wills. They were married 5
Sept. 1878. He died in 1941 at Salt Lick.

You are right again, Lillie Staton Rogers, married Leonard (Lennie) Rogers
and they were my grandparents. They are both buried in the Lower Salt Lick
Cemetery which is on the hill above my grandparents home place on 211 south
of Salt Lick. Grandmother Lillie Staton Rogers was a sister to Lou Ellen
Staton who married the Robinson and then Van Thornsburg.

Lillie and Lou Ellen were children of Lafayette Staton and George Ann
Thompson. Lafayette and George Ann also had Oscar 1907, Millard 1905,
Catherine 1883, Minnie 1888, Fred 1896, Virgil 1898. Lillie was born in
1885, and Lou Ellen in 1887.

Glad to hear that we are related through the Wills.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your informing letter. I am a decendent of thomas Thornburg that
married 13 Aug. 1829 Elizabeth Perrrill in Berkley Co. VA .
Of thie marriage there was a daughter named Mary Ellen Thornburg b. 1840 who
married Harrison Wills.
One of Harrison and Mary Ellen Thornburg Wills daughters was Ann Eliza b.
Dec. 1861? and married Isaac Harrison "Harry" Rogers (son of Joseph Rogers
and Nancy Shrout?) 5 Sept. 1878 Bath Co. KY.
Ann Eliza and Harry's children were:

Mary m. Owen Basford
Jesse m. Lettie Karrick
Artie m. Ashpie Basford
Leonard m. Lillie Staton
Emory m. Hestor Hunt
Lydia "Liddie" M. EdwardKarrick.

Some years ago I corresponded with one of Artie Basfords daughters named
Lucille Denton. I believe she lived in Maysville KY. I also met another of
the daughters named Gladys who had married Clarence Burnette ( she has since
passed away)
They gave me some pictures of the family....If you would like to have some I
can scan them and send them to you. They aren't that clear but one is of Ann
Eliza and Harry. Please LMK if you would like these.
Blessings!
