Vivian,

Shiloh is from the Bible. Could Shilo have been Charles who was age 10 in
1850?

Thanks Linda!
I thought about this last night ( Instead of counting sheep) and It seems I
remember seeing something about CHILD male being born to James and Mahala. I
cannot remember if it was the Vital Stats microfilm or just what but, This AM
I dug thru some old emails and found this.

Children of James and Mahala Basford:
Chas? b. 1842

I am gonna contact this submitter and see why she questioned Chas? It seems
it could have been real easy to see CHILO on the original Census.....then it
was transcribed to CHILD (male) Then to CHAS or finally to CHARLES.
LikeI said, I was thinking and that might be a little dangerous....especially
given the ongoing ~~~heat wave~~~~

I am definately gonna have to re-think this child of James and Mahala's. I
have no idea where James and Mahala were between 1840 and 1850 so that is
where they Begat that mystery son I guess. Remember, I have Cherokee Indians
in this family (old family stories)
Thanks to everyone for their contribution .....Thanks Jim and Howard.
