For several years a lot of researchers have been looking for the John Norris
family.
John Norris was married perhaps 2 times and probably had children by both
wives. He then married Hannah McCarta 30 Dec.1829 in Bath County and was
there with her in the 1850 Bath Co. Census. This was a marriage of long
duration.
Did they have any children together? Hannah would have been about age 43
when they married and he age about age 59.
I think this is the John Norris that died 1860 and is buried in the Norris
Cemetery?
Have any of the Norris Researchers found anything at all on this marriage
other than the date that is in the marriage books?
Surely there are some family stories that were passed down from generation
to generation on this marriage.....the children......step siblings Etc?
We believe John's first wife was named Elizabeth? Who were John's children
by Elizabeth? Were there more marriages than to Hannah? I personally, am
tired of dragging this Surname without any conclusion. It has been almost 25
years at the same spot....the 1850 census.
Please if you have anything to share I would love to hear it. Surely these
people didn't live and die in Bath Co. without leaving a trace.
Thanks!

I first posted this on Dec.12. I haven't seen a post to the list for a few
weeks and am wondering what has happened to everyone. Have I been un-subbed
and didn't know it? Is anyone else getting posts from the list?
I am posting this again to see what is going on.
Happy Holidays!!
