OK, I checked and Elizabeth McCarty is on 1810 census in Mt.Sterling, Montgomery Co.,KY.,a Thomas Power is living nearby but no McCarty's. She had 3 sons under 10,1 son of 10 and under 16,2 daughters under 10,1 daughter of 10 and under 16, and herself,0f 26 and under 45. We need to look for a marriage of a McCarty to an Elizabeth in Montgomery Co.,KY. as I believe Leah said in 1880 that her parents were born in KY.
