I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for -- I
found a McDOWELL, KY -- but it's in Floyd Co, KY --
close to Pikeville, KY.

This is the only entry I find in my Atlas close to
what you mention. I think a lot of times the "Hollow"
part was added to the town name, but isn't found to be
a part of the town name today. Case in point --
Fourmile, Bell Co, KY. Many time you'll see Four Mile
Hollow as the name -- my mom was born there in 1928.
