WILLIAM RICE, 82, of Piqua, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2000 at
the Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio. He was a son of the late
Garfield and Margaret Cox Rice born on January 1, 1918 in Bell County. He was
a retired machinist and a member of the Spaulding Road Church of God in
Dayton, Ohio, the Joy Club and the Salvation Army and the Senior Citizens of
Piqua. On October 15, 1936, he united in marriage with Zealous V. Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Zealous Rice of Piqua, Ohio; two sons, Elden and
Jackie Rice of New Vienna, Ohio and William G. and Diane Rice of Dayton,
Ohio; seven daughters, Patricia Madison of Xenia, Ohio, Barbara Coates and
husband Charles of Elizabethtown, Juanita Jordan and husband Leamon of
Beavercreek, Ohio, Wanda and husband Darcy of Moraine, Ohio, Lucille Madison
and husband Larry of Kettering, Ohio, Brenda Evans and husband Lawrence of
Moraine, Ohio and Debbie Bloom and husband Robert of Piqua, Ohio; two
brothers, Larkin Rice of Barbourville and J.D. Rice of Trosper; three
sisters, Isabelle Warren of Indiana, Fannie Roark of Barbourville and Tish
Rice of Trosper; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; among other
loved ones and dear friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services were
conducted at the Spaulding Road Church of God in Dayton, Ohio Wednesday,
September 27 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Thomas officiating. He was laid to
rest in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Dayton, Ohio. Expressions of
sympathy may go to the Alzheimer's Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 3797
Summit Glen Drive #G100, Dayton, Ohio 45449 in loving memory of Mr. Rice.This
