you. They were in the Bell Co. Marriage Index:

PATTERSON, Skelton mar. Margaret SHELTON on January 3, 1869, Book A, Page 8
PATTERSON, Skelton mar. Polly GIBSON, Book I, page 420 on August 10, 1892

the 1880 census, I'd appreciate some clarification.
I have the entry from an online source, but cannot read two of the names -
the ones I really wanted to know!
The information I need is on page 377(?) - on the left hand page opposite
page 378, anyway.
Enumeration district 6, Pineville Precinct #1
11 June 1880, lines 8-11.
Line 8 is "Patterson, Skelton, W M 34"
Line 9 is "M...... ? L. W F 26" - need her name!
Line 10 is "Mary L. E." W F 5
Line 11 is "?????tton, Lucinda W F 45(?)" - need her last name and
confirmation of age.

This is the FIRST reference I've found to the first wife of Skelton
Patterson - his daughter Mary Lucinda Elizabeth's mother.

Also, would love to connect with anyone else researching this family in
Bell County & Knox Counties.
