EIDSON, PEGGY - age 69, of Tequesta, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 16,
2002, at Jupiter Medical Center. Peggy was one of those rare jewels who
brought joy to everyone who knew or came into contact with her. She was
loved, honored, and respected by all. She was born Peggy Louise Hurst, in
Pineville, Kentucky, to Verda Hurst and the late Clarence G. Hurst on
December 12, 1932. Peggy attended Maryville College and in 1951 married her
high school Sweetheart, Bob Eidson. One of the many highlights of her life
came last July when she and Bob celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage
with their family. Peggy was an enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer at Safe
Harbor Animal Rescue and at the Jupiter Medical Auxiliary. She is survived by
her devoted husband, Bob, of Tequesta; her mother, Verda Hurst of Oak Ridge,
Tenn.; her three adoring daughters, Terri Cotten of Spring, Texas, Staci
Susott of Fishers, Ind., and Kristi Hedberg of Asheville, N.C., and six
grandchildren, Dustin, Lacie, Heather, Alex, Sydney, and Natalie. A Memorial
Service was held Sunday, April 21, 2002, in Jupiter Florida. Contributions on
behalf of Peggy may be made to the Alliance For Lung Cancer Advocacy Support
and Education (ALCASE) at 1601 Lincoln Ave., Vancouver, WA 98660, and/or Safe
Harbor Animal Rescue, 185 Indiantown Rd., Jupiter, FL 33477.
