INGRAM - Carl Virgil Lawson, 59, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at
Willingboro, N.J. He was born Nov. 19, 1942, at Kettle Island, a son of the
late Garfield and Bertha Brock Lawson. He believed in the Baptist faith, and
had been a truck driver, coal miner, superintendent for Bell County Coal,
mine inspector, riverboat pilot, and tool and dye maker. He served in the
United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles
Lawson; sisters, Bessie Jean Fisher, Jean Hampton, Billie Jean Byrge, and Sue
Grubb. Survivors include his wife, Judy Jackson Lawson, Pineville; children,
Carol Ann (Doug) Anderson, Poplar Creek, Anthony Wayne (Mandy) Lawson,
Whitley County, Lillian Hope Powers (Bryan) Catron, Pineville; grandchildren,
Samantha and Paige Anderson, Megan, Matt, Justin and Timothy Powers, Ronnie,
Carl Wayne and Cheyenne Lawson; step-mother, Lucy Canady Lawson; brother,
Vernon Lawson, Pineville; sisters, Lori Delozier, Winterhaven, Fla., Patsy
Singleton, Covington, Louise Ellis and Joyce Buckner, Corbin; special friend,
Randy Powers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Arnett & Steele
Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Brooks, Roy Hatton and Bobby Fuson. Music
will be provided by Edna Fuson. Burial will be in the family cemetery on
Highway 92. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitation is from 6-9
p.m. Saturday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, which is in charge of
arrangements.

ALLEN, Texas - Donald Edward Turner, 55, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002,
at the Medical Center in Plano, Texas. He was born Dec. 30, 1946, in
Middlesboro, a son of the late George Turner and Charlene Ford Turner. He had
been a resident of Allen, Texas, since 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Turner, Allen; children, Ann Marie
Saldivar, Plano, Texas, Donald Edward Turner Jr., Arlington, Texas; six
grandchildren; sisters, Linda Coots, Frances Cheek, Cathy Turner, Sandra
Garrett; and brothers, Danny Turner, Carl Turner, Jimmy Turner, and Brian
Turner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shumate Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shumate Funeral Home, which
is in charge of arrangements.

LUSBY, Md. - David C. "Pete" Fuson passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, in
Lusby. He was the son of the late John C. Fuson and Audrey Margaret Fuson,
who survives.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Joanne Kostoff Fuson,
Lusby; three daughters, Denise Fuson Collins, Lusby, Sandra Fuson and Michele
Fuson Wilbur; brother, Lonnie Dale Fuson, Corbin, Ky.; sister, Patsy Ann
Hughes, Flowersville, Mich.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Rausch Funeral Home,
Fort Republic, Md. Memorials are suggested to Calvert County Hospice, P.O.
