Hi,
Yellow Creek runs around Middlesboro, KY. by Ferndale, and it ends up at
the Cumberland River in an area most people refer to as Page. On a map of
Kentucky the closes town is Calvin by post office where Yellow Creek ends.
This is five miles from Pineville, Ky, but still where it end is now
service by Pineville Post Office. Also from the map it shows to be in
Tennesse as well from Norris Lake to Middlesboro, Ky.
I know that Williams Branch feeds into Yellow Creek less than a mile before
Yellow Creek goes into the Cumberland River. Canon Creek feeds into Yellow
Creek about three miles before it ends. Depending on which year of the
census depends if the District was Yellow Creek or refer to as Williams
Branch. My family surnames include Greene, Hurst, Hoskins, Kersey,
Miracles, Robbins, and Watkins.
Hope this is of some help to you.
