Trying to find the parents of William Browning, born Va. about 1800. Moved to Harlan Co. Ky. in the 1830 census, and then he is found in the 1840 Knox Co. Ky. census. He is found in the 1850, 1860 , 1870, 1880 census of Bell Co. Ky. married to Winny Parker his 2nd wife. I am trying to find his 1st wife's name. She would be my gggrandmother. Their son Rollen was my ggrandfather. He was born in Bell Co. in 1828. Some sources have William E. married to Sarah Wallace, but that William was born Va. about 1803 and went by the name Buck, and the names of his children were different. I have been researching this for a couple of years, and have hit a brick wall. I was born in Middlesboro, Ky. but moved to Ca. with my family in 1946. I never got a chance to talk with my grandfather and asked him about who his ancestors were. My father was Ted Browning, son of Lewis Browning, of Middlesboro. Any help would be appreciated. Art
