List, anyone have family that lived in CUMBERLAND GAP & in the saddle of
the mountain on old 25e? reason i ask, my dad & his siblings were
raised in the saddle of the mountain from 1925-45.
they were the MOORE family. they ran the SAND MINE there.
they were musicians. lots people knew them.

was hoping to find someone with old photos that might have them in it.
some names i've heard KIMSEY--RAMSEY-- William MOORE who lived on VA 58.
also the PATTERSON lady who wrote the well known book about the
MELUNGEONS. would like to get old photos of CUMBERLAND GAP, & TIPRELL.
these are my hometowns.

Note: the RAINS i'm not sure if they lived there. my family knew the
RAINS that fell off the front of the Pinnacle. i don't know what part. i
dpn't think at the overlook. this was in the 1930s, i assume.

i knew a Preacher RAINS from PINEVILLE i think. he lived in TIPRELL many
yrs. i met him briefly in HANCOCK Co.TN. in 1999. his wife had just
passed away. i don't know anymore than this.
