The Revolutionary soldier plaque was installed on the courthouse by the local
chapter of the DAR. The local chapter runs the Duncan Tavern museum and
genealogy library and the building is located just up from the courthouse. I
took a photo of the plaque but I only have the top 1/2 of the plaque because
my Jacob HAM is in the top portion. There are many names on the plate. Duncan
Library should have all the names. I will add that when I inquired about WHY
my Jacob HAM was on the plate, no one at Duncan Library could tell me. I
suspect that the narrative of Perrin's 1882 History of Bourbon etc....was the
reference, at least for my Jacob HAM....and that info on revolutionary
service or patriot happenings (absent any better contemporary proof) is not
proof for admission to the DAR. Hope this helps !
