According to a map in the book by Mary Clay Berry, Voices from the Century
Before, a history of the Field and Clay families, Ezekiel Field Clay's home
was Runnymeade, former home of Gov. Garrard. A map in the book shows the
house on or near the Cynthiana Pike. The book mentions Gen. George Thomas
but no James M. Thomas. The book is based on letters of these families and
has interesting anecdotes about Ezekiel Field Clay in the war. Connie
