Teresa,
I thank you for your clarification, but evidently I was misinformed by
courthouse personnel, as my dad and I were in Boyd, Carter, Greenup and Lawrence
Counties Ky. just last summer and we were told by the personnel in each of the
courthouses that they only housed marriages and that if we needed other records
that we were to go to either the neighboring gen. libraries or the Archives in
Frankfurt.
The Boyd Co. Library does have a magnificent collection, as I've been there
several times and Sheri Pettit was wonderful in helping us.
Thanks again for the clarification of courthouse holdings. I was only conveying
what I was told personally. My apologies.
