Yes, that's my theory. Louisa Clay age 10 here=Eliza Clay at the poor farm in 1900 with Maud, Lucinda, and Letha=Eliza Clay who married Boyd Pyles 1890=Eliza Yates in 1910 and 1920. . I think Eliza Louisa named one of her daughters Lucinda after her mother.

The James Clay on Eliza Yates' death record would be her grandfather, not her father. James' wife, and therefore Eliza's grandmother, was Lucinda Morrison, and James & Lucinda's daughter (=Eliza's mother) was Lurena/Loumana Clay. This discrepancy didn't bother me all that much; my own great-grandmother's death record lists her grandparents as her parents. Whoever gave the info for the record was either confused, distracted by grief, didn't remember, whatever.

Letha May Clay's death record gives her mother as Eliza Adkison. First time for THAT surname to come into the mix. Info came from Cinda Lemaster (Lucinda Clay above, Letha's sister). She also provided info for Eliza Yates' death record listing Eliza's parents as James Clay and Louana Morrison.

Haven't yet found a marriage or census record that would provide Lucinda Clay Lemaster's husband's first name or a death record for her.
