I am direct descendent of john galliher jr. He met my great, great grandmother in Illinois, Shelby, I believe, in 1865 or so.He seems to have been married at the time, but he had a daughter with Nancy Magdeline Storer. That daughter Jane Anne Storer Foster was my great grandmother. We have been searching for information on her father, for sometime now. No one in the family has known anything about him other than they met in 1864-65 as my great grandmother was born in 1866. Their is talk of John Jr being Native American or part... He listed himself as Native in 1880 census in Massac, Ill. We have nothing other than that. Desperate to know of family. Have found some info on his younger brother Obediah. once listed as Chickasaw. Pleas help....anything would be new to us.
