Sandra Kay (Sparks) Brown, 54, of Franklin, OH, died February 25, 2007, after an extended illness. Born March 22, 1952, in Ashland, KY, she was the daughter of Clayton Earl and Nancy (Back) Sparks. In the 1980s, she worked two jobs, mowing lawns and bartending, to support her family when her husband became ill. Mrs. Brown worked at Gayston in Franklin as a machine operator in the 1990s. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 21 years, George H. "Butch" Brown, in 1989; and a brother, Steve Sparks, in 2007. Survivors include a son, Michael Brown of Franklin, OH; a daughter, Nancy Mae Shumaker of Franklin; sisters, Jo Sparks and Jennifer Sanders, both of Grayson, KY; brothers, Earl Sparks and Eddie Gibby, both of Grayson, KY; and grandchildren, Michael Shumaker and Jessie Shumaker, both of Franklin. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. March 1, 2007 at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main St., Camde!
n, OH, with Pastor Charles W. Proud officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden. Memorial contributions may be made to Interfaith Hospitality Network Warren County, 203 E. Warren St., Lebanon, OH 45036.
