Hello
I just spent an arm and a leg getting ahold of this Bach Family history
and
genealogy From the University of Kentucky
I do not have permission to reprint parts of it yet-
I will share this:
The Hudson Family In Eastern Kentucky
Connected with the Haynes Family, and the Stamper Family
The Davis Family In Eastern Kentucky
The orginal Davis Family that came late what is now Breathitt Co.,from
Virginia,consisted of Evans Davis,and his three sisters,Jennie,Cyntha,
and
Nancy, and if the lineage is correct, there was another sister, named
Winnie, a
brother that was drowned named Jeremiah(I think we already established
that
this may possibly be incorrect through Pat Hatfield) and one brother
possibly
more that settled in Floyd Co. Ky.
The children-- as Mr. Bach tries to establish-- are then quoted-
Evans Davis ,Cyntha Davis,Nancy Davis,Jennie Davis,Jeremiah Davis,>>>>>
Winnie Davis child was Henry Hudson, in Eastern Kentucky,James
Davis,George
Davis,Henry Davis,
1_______Davis moved to Christian County
"Of the above family it is known positively that 1-7 were brothers and
sisters, but it is known that they came from Augusta,Virginia"
No sources are given for the information gathered
I have a theory that maybe the information came from a Family Bible
This Bach Mss. does not say that Winnie was not married
I also have a theory that Henry Hudson has a first name
I am very very proud of our Hudson Heritage and am trying very hard to
establish
sources--I think the information passed to us from our Families is also
very very important-
-Another wild theory I have is that the Hudsons were Indian and were
hiding out so as not to have to go on the Trail of Tears-
See how my imagination can get without the proper sources<g>?
So I too would appreciate any help pointing us in the right direction
There is a Picture of one of our Hudsons on one of the sites-I believe
it is on the Perry Co.Ky.-
Our Hudsons are very Handsome People-from what few pictures I have seen
so far-
There is a Jeremiah Hudson written about in the Ky Biographies who is a
Baptist minister)-Brenda,could you quote what information was given to
you -and who told you such. I have been trying to study the
census-and sometimes I think that the Indian were listed as Muleogeon-
This clue could be really important Brenda-
I descent from Cola Hudson-who are you descent from?
My goodness-mercy me-Feuds have been started for less-(just a lame joke)
But I tend to get into trouble a lot so everyone will please have to
forgive me
and go on researchin
Thanks
Geneva
