Hi,
I have a question that maybe some one can help me with. My Aunt died in 1960
at the age of 17 from cancer. Now cancer is begining to show up in other
family members. So for many reasons we would like to get a copy of her death
certificate.

I wrote to Fankfort and sent them the money. No death certificate could be
found. In her obit it named the Breathitt County Funeral home as the one who
took care of her. I wrote to them 5 times asking if they had any old
records, no reply. Three weeks ago while in Breathitt County I called and
went to the Breathitt funeral home and finally got a copy of what they call
the funeral record.

Now here is the question. The funeral home said that it was up to the health
department to file the death certificate and when I called the health
department they said it was up to the funeral home to file. Which is
correct??
