On November 15th, I am going the make a new book available (free) on my
web page, a first edition of "The Descendants of George Holland." For
those of you that are familiar with the book "Hollon and Related
Families" by Clay Hollon in 1957, think of this as an update to that,
but just on the Holland/Hollon line.

The research of Sandra Lassen expanded Clay's work back one generation
further by identifying the father of William Hollon/Holland as George
Holland, and identifying the siblings of William. By incorporating the
research of June Brewer Welsch on the descendants of Williams sister,
Agatha Holland (who married Lewis Brewer), the record has almost
doubled. With the wonderful research of these ladies, and updates from
many of you, the record now spans over 9,100+ descendants across 11
generations.

The book will include a record of all 9,100+ descendants of George
Holland, and some historical information, such as the areas where our
ancestors lived (Montgomery/Grayson Co. VA, Wolfe Co. KY), life during
that time, etc. Please note because of "privacy" reasons, the book,
just as my website, will be "privatized" and will include only the names
of living individuals (no birth dates, etc.).

The book will be made available in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, which can
be easily be downloaded to your PC and printed through a company such as
Kinko's (because of its size). I will include further information on
how to get a printed copy made (it won't be by me) on November 15th.
This should be ample time to get it printed, in case anyone wants to
give it as a Christmas gift.

What I need your help with is making sure that my data is accurate and
complete, because I know it is not! This is your offer and chance to
be included if you are a descendant. I know there errors in names,
dates, and descendancy, so please inform me of these "countless"
errors. I have a note folder with about 35 previous updates that I
still need to "process," so feel free to send them whenever you are
ready. I may not respond right away, but I will get to them on a "first
in first out" basis.

If you want to view a very crude first draft of the book, which contains
descendant information only, you can download the PDF file from my
website on the Hollon page. Please note that the PDF file and my online
database file are the same data. When I update the database, I will
post a new PDF, and vice versa. I will update both once per week.

I look forward to hearing from you, and again, I apologize in advance
for any slow responses.
